To P255Q families February 24, 2021
I hope this letter finds you well. On January 4, 2021, we began the transition back to 5-day week learning for in-person learners. However, we continue to combat the COVID-19 crisis and are too often required to close school sites for up to 10 days. Despite this, your children’s teachers, paraprofessionals and related service providers continue to work diligently to create, routines, structure and meaningful learning experiences.
P255Q also has 30 classes of students in our full time remote school, in which the home/school collaboration between parents and teachers has never been more important and has never been better. I am proud of our school community and all of the energy and effort put forward to remain a connected, supportive and a quality school. This has not been an easy task for any of us. However, we are beginning to feel hope and a glimmer of optimism that we are coming to a turning point in this crisis.
In February, your children and your teaching staff will participate in ‘Respect for All Week’ activities, we will celebrate ‘Black History month’, have a resident artist visit Remote school classes and P255Q will produce a virtual ‘Spring Show’ for all students. Additionally, our parents can participate in workshops, support groups with 255Q families as we lead up to Spring Parent Teacher Conferences.
Be sure to visit the https://p255q.org/ website to see photos of the ongoing activities. Hope to see you soon.
