Thank you to all our families and staff who joined us for our Winter Wonderland / Cultural Night celebration at P7 on Friday 9th December. It was wonderful to see representation from so many different cultures and backgrounds dancing and celebrating together as friends. Ketler Louissiant, District 75 Superintendent, was our special guest and he has very impressed with the atmosphere of community support and joy that he witnessed at our school.
Thank you also to our PTA families for donating some amazing raffle prizes. We hope all of our winners enjoy their wonderful loot! The food was amazing too - we tasted Italian, Columbian, Peruvian and Mexican food as well as everyone's favorite NY Pizza. One of our mothers gave a wonderful performance of traditional music from Kazakhstan on a violin.
This is a big week for many families in our community. We wish all those celebrating Hannukah, the Winter Solstice, Christmas or Kwanzaa a peaceful and happy time with their families. School will be closed from Dec 23rd until return on January 3rd. December 23rd is a full day of school. We can't wait to see everyone back, well rested after their vacation for more joy and learning in 2023!
