Dear P255Q Families,
I am excited to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year!
This year is especially meaningful for me, as it marks my first full school year as your principal.
I have been a proud member of the P255Q community for over 17 years, and I am deeply honored to serve in this role. Throughout my time here, I have witnessed the incredible dedication of our families and staff, and the limitless potential of our students.
Although P255Q is located across 10 sites in Queens, we are one school with a clear and consistent vision and mission.
At P255Q, our vision is to be an innovative, welcoming, and reflective learning community where every student, family, and staff member feels valued, seen, heard, and safe. Together, with families as partners and staff as collaborators; we create a culture of shared responsibility and high expectations for all learners.

Our mission guides how we bring that vision to life.
P255Q empowers students with autism and other developmental disabilities to achieve independence and an improved quality of life through Individualized, evidence-based instruction.
We aim to enrich the connection between school, home, and community by equipping all families with tools and training to extend student learning and skill development acquired in school across all environments.
As we begin this school year, please know that your voice and partnership are valued and important. Together, we will celebrate every achievement and ensure that our students feel safe and supported to reach their fullest potential.
I am always available to connect with you, to listen, and support you; whether it’s to share ideas, ask questions, or discuss your child’s progress. I am beyond grateful to be part of this incredible school community, and I cannot wait to see all that we will accomplish together this year!
With gratitude and commitment,
Meghan Kozak
